Emotion-Driven Designer Focused on Storytelling Through Color, Texture, and Typography

I specialize in crafting visually compelling book covers, branding, and layouts that connect with audiences on an emotional level. Every design starts with a single question: “What do I want people to feel when they see this?”

Category: Book Cover / Emotional Design / Print
Overview:
This bespoke journal cover was created for a guided grief journal intended to support users through loss and healing. The goal was to create a visual tone that felt soothing, respectful, and introspective—something that wouldn’t overwhelm the reader but instead invite them into a calm, private space for reflection.
Design Approach:
The cover uses soft, desaturated colors and a spacious composition to avoid emotional overload. Organic lines and gentle type treatments were selected to complement the journal’s comforting tone. The absence of harsh edges or vivid contrast was intentional—this was about emotional resonance, not visual flash.
Key Skills Used:
Emotional tone mapping
Typography pairing for softness
Cover layout with space-conscious hierarchy
